Horseback Riding In NC Mountains
If you’re looking for an exciting adventure on horseback, the WhiteWater Equestrian Center offers a treat for you. Imagine becoming one with nature as you and your horse leisurely make your way through a variety of trails nearby. You’ll experience a bit of history on both Native American trails and historical logging roads. You may pass by John Green's grave, a famous local legend, and learn about his very interesting demise. The highest waterfall east of the Rockies, Whitewater Falls, dropping 411 feet is nearby and should not be missed! You’ll also take in the wonderful scenery of Lakes Jocassee and Keowee. On the trail you’ll have the opportunity to learn about the animal and plant life on the trails, as well as some local history.
The center is open all year weather permitting. On premises you will find a 25,000 square foot barn, restrooms, and a snack bar. The WhiteWater Group will assist you with reservations, local area maps, and directions. Please call (828) 966-9646 or visit the website www.funhorsebackriding.com for reservations.
